Pirata Experience’s trip, the one we hold full details for, sails a traditional outrigger boat. It visits 2 to 5 destinations a day, 4 on average, by its own guest notes.
Its route runs from El Nido town to Port San Fernando and a camp, then via Linapacan to a campsite near Culion, then to Coron.
Both of Pirata’s nights are in nipa huts at camps. There is no electricity, no fan and no hot shower, and the toilet is a shared squat toilet.
Pirata names the activities: beaches, snorkelling, cliff jumping, waterfalls, village visits, volleyball, a bonfire and karaoke.
Weather decides whether a day sails. On Pirata’s trip, the Coast Guard announcement comes between 6:00 and 8:00 on the departure day.

Prices as published by each operator on its own website, read on 4 November 2026; rows run from the lowest 2-night price. DOT status is from the El Nido Tourism Office’s list of DOT-accredited enterprises, as of 11 September 2026. The copy we saw showed 13 of its 122 records, so “not on the list shown” does not mean an operator is not accredited.
Asking about a trip: one form for every operator
To ask about any trip in the table, use the form below: your date, the number of guests and how to reach you.
The El Nido Map team asks the operator whether that date runs, then tells you. We reply on WhatsApp or by email.
From 8:00 to 21:00, Philippine time, we answer within 1 hour. A request sent at night is answered the next morning.
We keep a request for 12 months, then delete it.
Departure days: five operators say them
As of 4 November 2026, five operators state their departure days. The others do not say on the pages we read, so ask about your date.
Pirata Experience departs every day, in both directions, as of 4 November 2026. Pirata told us this directly.
Buhay Isla Ecotour: 3 days on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays; 4 days on Sundays and Wednesdays. Extra departures run every other week, from 25 September 2026 to 30 July 2027.
Castaway Expeditions lists dated departures on most days, for example 5, 6, 8, 9, 10 and 11 November 2026.
We Are Juan lists dated departures on most days, such as 5–7, 6–8, 12–14 and 22–24 November 2026.
Big Dream Boatman lists dated departures each month, such as 29 November and 1 December 2026. Its season runs from October to July.
Barracuda Tours publishes no days, but says pick-up is between 8:00 and 8:30.
Included and what to bring: Pirata’s list
Pirata Experience includes local guides and crew, a chef and meals on board, water, rum and coke, and snorkelling masks.
Its huts have a mosquito net, a mattress, a pillow and a blanket. Huts are limited, so a solo traveller is likely to share one with someone of the same gender.
Pirata asks you to bring about ₱2,000 in cash: ₱400 for El Nido, ₱200 for Linapacan, ₱100 for Culion, ₱200 for Coron, and ₱1,200 in pocket money.
Your check-in bag is stored, and you cannot reach it for the 3 days; there is no weight limit. Bring a dry bag for the day.
Pirata names its own warnings: mosquitoes, jellyfish, basic huts, and no reliable charging, with solar power in some places only.
There are no hospitals nearby, so bring your own medication. Pirata recommends travel insurance.
Guests meet at an assigned meeting point by 8:00, after breakfast.
For the other operators, we did not read what is included. Buhay Isla says its prices include all charges, and Barracuda Tours charges ₱900 for entrances on top.
Weather and cancellation: Pirata’s terms
If the Coast Guard stops the first day, Pirata gives no refund and tries again the next day. If that day fails too, it refunds 80%.
Pirata says the other 20% covers preparation already bought. It gives a travel certificate for your insurance claim.
Pirata warns that weather may be imperfect and big waves are possible. Its own advice is: “Expect the worst, hope for the best.”
Allow at least 4 days between the end of the trip and your flight, and book refundable accommodation. Both are Pirata’s advice.
If you cancel within 5 days of the trip for an emergency of your own, Pirata does not refund. It can issue a travel certificate.
If fewer than 6 guests join, the trip runs only if the others cover the cost of 6. A guest who does not agree can cancel without penalty.
We did not read the other operators’ terms for this guide.
