El Nido, Palawan
El Nido town proper
The centre of El Nido: where the island-hopping boats leave from, where most restaurants and bars are, and where the eco fee is paid.
The town sits on Bacuit Bay under the limestone cliffs, and almost everything transactional happens here. Island-hopping tours A to D depart from the town beach, the agencies that sell them line Rizal and Hama streets, and the tourism office that issues the eco-tourism ticket is a short walk from either.
It is the densest part of the municipality for eating and drinking, and the easiest place to stay without a scooter — most of it is walkable. That density is also the trade-off: it is the noisiest and busiest part of El Nido, and the beach in front of the town is a working boat beach rather than a swimming one.
Getting there
The default arrival point. Vans from Puerto Princesa and the Coron ferry both terminate here.
